SOOOO Hot!

...I'm Mister Sun
I'm Mister Heat Blister
I'm Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!

This is how I feel when I am on the pool deck coaching. MAN is it hot.
Well 3 practices down and two to go for me coaching stint for FLA.
The practices have gone very well and everyone has thanked me, it is hard work with
that many people and three different levels of speed, but I think I am pulling it off.

I will hand my practices over to tha coach and see what he has to say.

Then I am back in the pool and hopefully back to full time training by January.

In the Deep Once Again

Well after having my Acromion Process which is number 12 on the photo shaved back, I am once again in the water. Albiet only kicking and sneaking in a couple 50's swimming.

My teammates are venturing off to the Woodlands in Texas for long course nationals, wish I could go. I am shooting for short course nationals in Austin next year.

Good luck FLA!!!

Go FLATT and FLUCE and FLARTY!!!

FLA IS FLAWSOME

Oh One For Service

Tomorrow I will be awarded with the ISHOF Service Award for my dedication to the International Swimming Hall of Fame and its Web site. This was a wonderful suprise since this is the only way I am ever getting in the Hall unless I become a superstar when I get to the 80-84 Age group.

I apologize to Da Hoop for his missing of practice, but here is the back-handed slap of it all, he COULD get up and swim the AM practice an avoid the traffic- HA HA HA. Not like I am doing much swimming at this time, so I can pick on him as much as I want.

I am actually going to coach next week, I even get the shirt to prove it. This way they will have to RESPECT MY AUTHORITAY, as Cartman would say. I hope they are all ready, since I will be unleashing my sprinter practices on my friends who make it to the Noon practice, and the ones who come next Saturday will enjoy it.

More updates soon.

ISHOF Honoree Induction Weekend

It is time for the International Swimming Hall of Fame Induction Weekend. Yours truly is the reciepient of the ISHOF Service Award for my Web site work for the Hall.

It is truly amazing what the inductees of the ISHOF have accomplished during the career. If you get a chance, check out ISHOF.ORG. One of these days I will get back in the water, at least I will be coaching during Nationals for the coaches who get to swim.

Some of the worst pain ever.

Back Spasm Pain

A muscle spasm occurs due to a variety of reasons. A spasm is a powerful contraction or stiffening of the muscle. When a muscle goes into spasm, the person is unable to stop the forcible tightening of the muscle and surrounding tissue. Muscle spasms are designed to protect the injured area by limiting motion in painful tissue. Muscle spasms can be brought on by injury, advanced degenerative process, or most commonly, oxygen deprivation.

Let me tell you, this is the second time this has happened in the last year, this is not a severe as last time. Last time I could not even stand, I had to crawl in the house, my brother-in-law had to help me in. It took over six hours before I could get out of bed.

Well today is not going so well, I have been having a spasm for 9 hours. I had a small reprieve after the muscle relaxer and the Aleve kicked in, I just cannot stay in one position too long. It is rough to stand-up straight.

Man let me tell you it is one of the most painful injuries to have and I still have no clue why I have gotten this spasm.

I cannot take off work again, and I got to take my kiddos to school.

I hope this will be resolved by the morning.

Still not blogging a happy blog.

We are a country of fat lazy bastards!

Who ever this person is, you gotta be KIDDING ME!!!

Get out of your car and walk you dog, man what a lazy S.O.B.

Hire a dog walker for goodness sake.

Anyway, this is why America is so fat, we cannot even walk our dogs anymore.

I bet you this person is eating a Big Mac with a jumbo Diet Coke.

Ouch!!!

Man, what a weekend. I couldn't even make it through an easy Saturday practice without my shoulders hurting.
Then on Sunday I started feeling really bad, I was cold then hot, my stomach was so upset, I did not even sleep.

I had to stay home yesterday, I know it sounds like fun not to work, but being sick sucks.

I had to get to work today, but I feel like crap, I am not going to swim, since I have not eaten since Sunday and I have no energy.

I hope I feel better tomorrow, and I will blog a happy blog.

It seems lax is not even the world for my blogging. Nonexistant seems more like it. For all my faithful readers, all 3 of you.
SORRY!

Well lots going on since November, my daugher turned 4, my son turned 2 - Yeah Kids!.

Launched a site redesign Fort Lauderdale Aquatics.

Worked on two nice video projects for the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Swimming again after my surgery, going slow, but I am up to 3 days a week. Hopefully the shoulders hold up.

No triathlons for this year, oh well.

That is the update for now.

The Pressure

Well it seems I have been slack on the blogging, since Da Hoop has pointed out my non-blogging since Oct. 13th.

Kinda busy around here, plus been fighting a bad cold the last couple days.

Well I finally started getting back to swimming a couple days a week since my surgery, YEAH!!!!!

I rode my bike again, and the shoulder is holding up, a little sore, but I am happy to be active again.

Then this damn cold has knocked me for a loop, hopefully I will be better soon, I am swimming to try and win a turkey on Thursday, more on that later.

My daughter's 4th Birthday party is Saturday, it is hard to party like a 4 year old.

Well onwards and upwards.
